Yesterday a small vertical wind turbine has been officially commissioned on the roof of a social apartment building in Hasselt, Belgium.
The electricity generated by the wind turbine ensures that the investment has a payback of about 8 years as a baseline, but more importantly it will be part of a novel heat network in which the electricity generated will feed the heat pumps of the heat network, among other things. The optimal usage of the energy streams and the management of this innovative heat network is the value-add that i.LECO brings. It’s the social housing company Cordium that invests in innovative technologies and the tenant benefits from a lower energy bill.

And finally not to forget: it contributes to a greener & sustainable future!
