i.LECO maximizes shared V2G EV service via a stacked value energy services approach

DeeldeZon has the ambition to enable 80 solar roofs, 80 bidirectional charging stations and 150 electric sub-cars in Belgium and the Southern Netherlands. Thanks to the grant from Interreg Flanders-The Netherlands, we will work with six other partners on the project of DeeldeZon until 2021.

Start/end of project: 1/4/19 => 31/05/21
Location: Netherlands and Belgium
Main project delivery to: INTERREG

Overal project summary

DeeldeZon has the ambition to enable 80 solar roofs, 80 bidirectional charging stations and 150 electric sub-cars in Belgium and the Southern Netherlands. In this way, DeeldeZon contributes to the energy transition. The aim is to achieve energy-neutral living environments. The innovative feature of this project is the combination of solar roofs with electric shared cars that store the generated energy by using smart bi-directional charging stations in a sustainable and flexible way and can return it when the demand of electricity is high. In addition to the positive effects on the (local) environment, shared cars also offer the solution to socio-economic issues.

i.LECO contribution and value-add

i.LECO provides the cloud software to maximize the values laying within this innovative green electric car-sharing solution. The algorithms will optimize within a mix of stacked values as illustrated below and use various meta-data and techniques to achieve this goal. Behind the meter the smart forecasting of the charging patters and the host energy profile will lead to an extra service to reduce capacity connection costs and maximize the usage of own produced green energy. These local controls will be combined with higher pure economic driven value streams like day ahead trading participation as main second driver and if the conditions are all met and available, also other streams like aggregated FCR and congestion services can be exploited.

This stacked value is built up generically so that it can work with only local customizations within the local/national specific energy service possibilities.
